2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of third-party service providers ("processors") to operate the Service. We share only the data each provider needs to perform its function:

ProviderPurpose
Firebase (Google)User authentication and application database
SupabaseStorage of mock interview video/audio recordings
StripePayment processing for PrepMMI and Denterview purchases
PayhipPayment processing and storefront for certain Denterview products
ResendTransactional emails (purchase confirmations, receipts, account emails)
RailwayApplication backend hosting
Google Analytics (GA4) & Google AdsSite analytics and conversion tracking for our marketing
Anthropic / other AI providersGenerating AI-based interview feedback and personal statement review

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy terms and applicable data protection obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a sale of Denterview or PrepMMI), in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to this Policy or its successor.

4. Recordings & Personal Statements

If you use a mock interview product, your webcam/microphone recordings are captured with your permission (granted through your browser at the start of a session), stored via our video storage provider, and used to generate your feedback and to let you review your own past sessions. If you submit a personal statement or other document for review, it is processed by our review pipeline, which uses AI to assist with drafting comments and edits; a current dental student reviewer reviews and finalizes the feedback before it is returned to you. Your document is stored so we can deliver your reviewed document and, where applicable, a follow-up round of edits.

We do not use your recordings or personal statements to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to generate your own feedback, and we do not publish or share your individual recordings or statements without your permission, except with the service providers listed in Section 3 as needed to deliver the Service.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Our sites use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics (GA4) and the Google Ads conversion tag, to understand site usage and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may collect information such as pages viewed, general location, and whether a purchase was completed after clicking an ad. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics/Ads personalization through Google's own tools (for example, Google's Ads Settings).

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information, session history, and purchased materials for as long as your account is active, so that you can access your past sessions and reviews. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, payment records) for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12 — we will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails; you will still receive service-related emails (such as receipts) tied to your purchases.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures — including relying on established providers like Firebase, Supabase, and Stripe for authentication, storage, and payments — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for prospective dental and medical school applicants and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Users

We are based in the United States, and the service providers listed in Section 3 may process and store data in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
